This mini puzzle is really two puzzles in one, so twice the fun. It is double-sided, each side showing a picture of a brightly coloured bus and its passengers. This means that there is a bit of a challenge as you start to put the puzzle together, as you need to decide which side of each piece belongs to the picture you are trying to complete. With pictures on both sides, it is not so easy, even with just 12 pieces. However, there are some big differences in the pictures which make it a little simpler; one bus is bright red, and full of people, while the bus on the other side is bright yellow and all its passengers are animals. Both buses are full, so there is plenty of opportunity to help your child`s literacy skills by discussing the passengers; on the red bus you can ask how many people are waiting at the bus stop? What colour is the driver`s shirt? What number is on the front of the bus? Can you spot a man with a beard? Are there any animals in this picture? Where do you think the people on the bus could be going? And if you complete the puzzle with the yellow bus, you can talk about the different animals and what noises they make; which animal is waiting at the bus stop? What can you see in the cab next to the monkey driver? Which animals would you find on a farm, and which in a zoo? Ref. Code:ORC301
